Benjamin Scotford

Hi, I’m Ben.

As a full time videographer since finishing a Diploma of Film and Television in 2014, I’ve had the opportunity to do a wide variety of work including Weddings, Advertising, Events, and Corporate videos. I love working in all these areas, however my biggest passion is making Behind the Scenes Documentaries.

I’ve spent years studying Behind the Scenes content as well as Documentary filmmaking. This has included connecting with some of the people I admire most in the industry for advice and guidance, including Charles de Lauzirika (director of a multitude of BTS content for Ridley Scott, Michael Bay, and more), Jonathan Rinzler (the late Author of the extensive “Making of” books for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Alien, and more), and several key crew members who worked on my favourite documentary, “The Director and the Jedi”.

I see a lot of opportunities for innovation and creativity in the Behind the Scenes industry, and hope that I can take the next step to build upon the high standard of content that inspired me. My goal for any project is to create a meaningful experience for the viewers, and find the most engaging way to tell any story I am given.
